These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Morning Meds website, app and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not access or use the Service.
1. Who we are
Morning Meds ("Morning Meds", "we", "us", "our") provides a personalized feed of medical research article summaries, primarily for medical residents, doctors and students.
Morning Meds is currently operated by an individual based in Portugal. You can contact us at support@morningmeds.co.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. The Service is primarily intended for healthcare professionals, medical residents, and students.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information when creating and maintaining your account.
- We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms or used the Service in an unlawful, abusive or harmful way.
3. Description of the Service
Morning Meds aggregates medical research articles (for example, from PubMed and similar sources), generates summaries using automated systems, and provides a personalized feed of articles and summaries based on your preferences and feedback.
The Service may include features such as:
- Personalized article recommendations and summaries
- Daily or periodic email digests of summaries
- Feedback tools (e.g. like / dislike, save)
- Premium subscription features
We may modify, expand or reduce the features of the Service at any time (for example, adding new functionality or discontinuing certain features).
4. No medical advice
Morning Meds is for educational and informational purposes only. The Service does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or clinical decision-making.
- The summaries and recommendations are based on published research and automated processing and may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate.
- The Service does not take into account individual patient data, clinical context, or local protocols.
- You must not use the Service as a substitute for professional medical judgment, guidelines, or supervision.
You remain solely responsible for all clinical decisions and for complying with local laws, regulations, and institutional policies. If you are not a healthcare professional, you must not use Morning Meds to make decisions about your health or anyone else's health.
5. Subscriptions, billing and payments
Morning Meds may offer a free plan and one or more paid subscription plans (e.g. "Premium"). Details of current plans, limits and prices are shown in the app or on our website and may change from time to time.
- Paid subscriptions are billed through our payment provider (such as Stripe) using the payment method you provide.
- By starting a paid subscription, you authorize us and our payment provider to charge your payment method on a recurring basis (e.g. monthly), until you cancel.
- Your plan status (free / premium) is managed by us based on information from our payment provider (for example, subscription "active", "trialing" or "canceled").
- We may change subscription fees or plan features in the future. Any changes will normally apply from your next billing period, and we will try to give you reasonable notice where possible.
Refunds are handled at our discretion and in accordance with applicable law. If you believe there is an error with your billing, please contact us promptly at support@morningmeds.co.
6. Your responsibilities and acceptable use
You agree that you will not:
- Use the Service in any unlawful way or in violation of any applicable law, regulation or professional guideline.
- Use the Service to store or process identifiable patient medical records or other highly sensitive personal data.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, our systems or other users' accounts.
- Copy, scrape, bulk download, resell, or reuse the Service's content (including article metadata, summaries and recommendations) beyond what is reasonably necessary for your personal, non-commercial professional or educational use.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract source code from the Service, except to the extent allowed by applicable law.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including by introducing malicious code, excessive automated requests, or attempts to overload our infrastructure.
7. Intellectual property
We and our licensors own all rights, title and interest in and to the Service, including:
- The software, code and infrastructure
- The user interface, design, and any branding or logos associated with Morning Meds
- The article selection, ranking logic, and AI-generated summaries and recommendations (to the extent such rights exist)
You retain any rights you may have in content you submit to us (for example, feedback), but by using the Service you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify and analyze such content as necessary to provide and improve the Service.
8. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers such as Supabase (for auth and database), Stripe (for billing), PostHog (for analytics), and email providers such as Resend.
These providers operate under their own terms and privacy policies. By using Morning Meds, you acknowledge that your data may be processed by these third parties as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal data. By using the Service, you agree that we can process your information in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:
- Accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of article data or summaries
- Fitness of the Service for any particular clinical or educational purpose
- Non-infringement
- Availability, uptime or freedom from errors or interruptions
We do not guarantee that any particular articles will be included or excluded from your feed, or that the recommendations will reflect all relevant evidence for any topic.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Morning Meds or its operators be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages
- Any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
- Any decisions or actions you take in a clinical, educational, research or personal context based on the Service
Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms shall not exceed the greater of:
- The amount you have paid to us for the Service in the 3 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or
- EUR 50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability. In such cases, the above limitations apply only to the extent permitted by the laws of your jurisdiction.
12. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Morning Meds and its operators from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party
13. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, at any time, if:
- You materially or repeatedly breach these Terms.
- We are required to do so by law or by a competent authority.
- We reasonably believe your use of the Service may cause harm to us, the infrastructure, or other users.
You may stop using the Service at any time. If you wish to cancel a paid subscription, you can normally do so through the billing portal or by contacting us.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Portugal, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Portugal, unless applicable law provides you with mandatory rights to bring claims in another jurisdiction.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we may notify you via email or in-app notice.
By continuing to access or use the Service after changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the Service.
